But you know who I am, and you know how I stand.
I'm a cat in the day,
Not at noon, not at night.
I don't care what they say,
But I trust all I sight.
I'm a hero, as long as dusk stays away,
For I am to its bidding, day after day.
I don't change where there are shadows,
I don't snore when I sleep,
I don't touch the cold pillows,
All these secrets, I do keep.
For I am a warrior,
Day until noon.
But one of these days I'll crack,
I just know I will soon.
